Victor F. C. Raczkowski, M.D., M.S., Named Vice President of U.S. Regulatory Affairs for Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

 

   

Marietta, Ga. (March 26, 2007) — Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced today that Victor F. C. Raczkowski, M.D., M.S., has been named vice president of U.S. Regulatory Affairs. In this role, Raczkowski will provide regulatory leadership and direction for the U.S. commercial business, assure U.S. regulatory compliance, and be responsible for all activities and interactions associated with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). He will serve as a member of Solvay Pharmaceuticals’ Global Regulatory Affairs Leadership Team, the U.S. Pharmaceutical Leadership Team, the U.S. Compliance Committee and the U.S. Labeling Review Committee.

Prior to joining Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Raczkowski was vice president of Regulatory Affairs at Cephalon, Inc. in Frazer, Pa. Having worked at the FDA for 13 years, he has extensive experience in a variety of senior leadership positions at the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) and Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER).

Additionally, he has been published in a variety of medical journals including Circulation, the European Journal of Pharmacology, and Clinical Chemistry, and has lectured at numerous meetings and symposia nationwide.

Raczkowski graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pa., received a master of science degree in pharmacology from The University of Chicago in Chicago, Ill. and earned a doctor of medicine degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Ill. He completed his residency in pediatrics and fellowship training in pediatric cardiology from the Children’s Hospital National Medical Center in Washington, DC.
