Bennett Julian Named Vice President of New Business Development for Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Marietta, Ga. (September 28, 2006) – Bennett (Ben) P. Julian has been named vice president of new business development for Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc. In this role, Julian assumes primary responsibility for all business development activities for the company.
Julian holds an M.B.A. in marketing and international business from the University of Chicago and earned a B.Sc. degree in finance from Indiana University. Prior to joining Solvay Pharmaceuticals, he was with Baxter Healthcare Corporation for seven years, most recently as vice president of business strategy, planning and development for the company’s Anesthesia, Critical Care & Oncology Division, where he led global business development and strategic planning activities. Prior to Baxter Healthcare Corporation, he worked with OHMEDA INC./THE BOC GROUP for nine years, serving in a variety of roles including the director of licensing and business development for its pharmaceuticals unit. Julian started his career at Abbott Laboratories, holding financial and business analyst positions during his five years with the company.
