Andrew T. Foster Named Vice President, Human Resources for Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Marietta, Ga. – October 27, 2005 – Andrew T. Foster has been named Vice President, Human Resources for Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Foster will oversee recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations and development programs for the company's nearly 1000-member sales force and more than 500 corporate and manufacturing employees in addition to managing the company's health, safety, environment and security functions. He is an officer of the corporation and serves as a member of the company’s management committee and leadership council. Foster reports to Dr. Harold H. Shlevin, president and CEO.
Foster joins the company from McKesson Corporation where he served most recently as Vice President of Human Resources for the company’s pharmaceutical distribution division. Prior to joining McKesson in 2000 as director of human resources, he spent six years as an HR consultant. Foster began his career at American Red Cross Biomedical Services, serving in a number of positions including project manager and director of community relations.
Foster received his bachelor’s degree in social ecology from University of California-Irvine and a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University. Prior to attending college, he served in the United States Army as a clinical nursing specialist.
