Peter G. Edwards Named Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Marietta, Ga. – October 27, 2005 – Peter G. Edwards has been named Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Edwards will direct all legal matters for the company as well as oversee the activities of the government and public affairs departments. He will also serve as the company’s corporate secretary and as a member of the company’s management committee and leadership council. Edwards reports to Dr. Harold H. Shlevin, president and CEO.
Edwards joins the company from Global Home Products (GHP), L.L.C. where he served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Prior to his work at GHP, Edwards served as Assistant General Counsel and Secretary at Mettler-Toledo, Inc.; counsel, corporate intercontinental and Japan, counsel, commercial transactions and as attorney, litigation at Eli Lilly and Company. Before moving in-house, Edwards was in private legal practice doing work for pharmaceutical and medical device companies.
Edwards received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and his juris doctor degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University.
