Jim Marken Named Plant Manager of Baudette, Minn. Manufacturing Facilities for Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Marietta, Ga. (June 15, 2005) – Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced today that Jim Marken has been named plant manager of the company’s Baudette, Minn. manufacturing facilities.
As plant manager, Marken will be responsible for the manufacturing and operation of both the Main Street Facility and the Hormone Facility. He reports to Michael Dornhecker, vice president of manufacturing and operations for Solvay Pharmaceuticals.
Marken began his career with Solvay Pharmaceuticals in July 1988 as a Quality Control Lab Technician. In 1990, he moved into the validation group and held various positions until he became a production supervisor in 1999. Marken quickly advanced from supervisor to production manager in 2003.
Marken received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Bemidji State University.
