Jean-Louis Anspach Named Vice President, Marketing for Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
MARIETTA, Ga. (Aug. 12, 2002) - Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announces that Jean-Louis Anspach has been named vice president of marketing. In his new position, Anspach will oversee marketing initiatives for the company's suite of cardiology, gastroenterology, mental health and women's health products as well as its specialty products.
Anspach previously served as president and chief executive officer of Unimed Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a wholly owned, independently operated subsidiary of Solvay Pharmaceuticals, and will maintain these responsibilities in his new role. Anspach first joined Solvay Pharmaceuticals in 1999 as director of business development, a role in which he contributed to all product licensing and acquisitions for the company on an international basis.
Prior to joining Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Anspach served its parent organization, Solvay S.A., as president and chief executive officer of both Solvay Fluorides, Inc. and Solkatronic Chemicals, Inc. Earlier in his career, Anspach acted as head of external communications and investor relations and as a financial analyst in the corporate finance department of Solvay S.A. in Brussels, Belgium.
Anspach holds an "ingenieur commercial" degree from the Solvay Business School of the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He earned a master's in business administration from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
