Ann Willmoth Honored as Industry "Rising Star" by Healthcare Businesswomen's Association
Marietta, Ga. (June 25, 2003) - Ann Willmoth, vice president of sales for Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc. was honored on May 1st at the 2003 Woman of the Year award luncheon, sponsored by the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA). HBA Rising Stars are up-and-coming professionals in various sectors of the healthcare industry, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, advertising, public relations, medical education and market research, among other fields. Nominated by HBA's corporate members, the Rising Stars represent various career stages and disciplines, and have demonstrated noteworthy achievements and proven attention to furthering their careers.
As vice president of sales for Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Willmoth leads all aspects of the company's sales efforts in the United States and is a key contributor to the development of the commercial operations' business strategies. She led multiple sales teams, customer marketing, and operations groups at Bausch & Lomb, Inc. and was the vice president of sales in its Eyewear Division prior to joining Solvay Pharmaceuticals. Willmoth earned a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Kentucky and a master's in education from Georgia State University. She is an active member of the National Society of Female Executives, the Georgia Easter Seal Society, the University of Kentucky Alumni Association and the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association.
