Associate Product Manager

Location:   Marietta, GA

Responsibilities: 
The Assistant or Associate Product Manager is responsible for assisting the Marketing Team for AndroGel in implementing programs and coordinate initiatives to achieve sales and profitability goals.  This entry-level marketing position is responsible for assisting in the development of brand plans and strategies and to assist in evaluating potential projects and New Business Development opportunities in light of the therapeutic area Franchise.

Job responsibilities for the APM will include:  Assisting in the development of product strategy and tactics, successfully implementing assigned tactical projects, mastering the Legal/Medical/Regulatory (LMR) review process for marketing materials, assisting in developing product forecasts and budgets, monitoring and managing monthly expenses for assigned projects, Contributing to key franchise objectives, staying abreast of the diseases related to the brand through syndicated studies, market research, trade publications and clinical articles, evaluating NBD/franchise opportunities, and establishing positive and productive relationships with opinion leaders and key professional associations.

Requirements:
Meeting the minimum requirements does not necessarily ensure an interview.  A Bachelors degree is required – Marketing as the preferred area of study.  Advanced Degree in related subject matter (MBA or other) is preferred.  3-5 Years of Pharmaceutical industry experience is also required – marketing experience preferred.  The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn marketing and a strong interest in developing his/her career in marketing over time.  Competencies include:  Excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills, decision making, and strong strategic thinking skills along with well developed planning, time management, follow-through skills, the ability to assimilate and communicate data/reports, and strong written and verbal communication skills.  This position is based in Marietta Corporate offices and travel for this position is extensive.
